My wife and I have always felt life on earth is precious. We appreciate our good life and health, would like others to have it, and to preserve the good life and health for future generations to come. We’ve concluded that, as the saying goes, we intend to leave this earth a better place than when we arrived. We became passionate about renewable energy after researching and looking at data of the harmful effects of burning gas, gasoline, oil, and coal to power our homes, businesses, and cars. Burning these fuels causes our planet to heat up. It results in air pollution – which causes harm to human health (triggers for asthma/allergies/etc) and our environment (dirty smog/soot/benzene/more) We have technology that allows cleanly produced energy. My wife and I are moving as quickly as we can towards a burn-free lifestyle. Solar panels are now cleanly powering our entire home, including the heating of the home, stove, washer/dryer, and water heaters. We are signed up for electric cars. I am committed to becoming an expert in the area and am in the process of building dozens more homes like this one to offer to homeowners who also would like to move towards a lifestyle that transitions them away from burning fuel for energy.

Performance of home improvements:

Solar panels have performed reliably day-in and day-out. No issues with any panels or microinverters

For July/Aug, our solar panels have produced more power than we consume 28 out of 31 days of the month. Our net usage over the last 31 days has been -470kWh.

White metal roof with foam underneath is quiet in the rain.

Foam under roof and around the walls has proven to be energy-efficient for our home.

HVAC is 5-tons. 4-tons would have sufficed for the average homeowner. I host nearly every other day so the larger unit suits this house for now.

LED lights – None have needed replacement

Tankless Water Heaters – All provide hot, hot water, none have “run out”, no light flickering or electronics issues
