The primary goal in designing this system was to be able to run the air units during summertime and not pull from the grid any more than necessary. This system generates above our usage from 10 AM – 4 PM effectively taking us off the grid during those hours on a typical sunny day. The solar attic vents, LED lighting and new energy efficient windows maximize the savings and help minimize our consumption from the grid. The bonus being everything we generate and don’t consume is available for others to consume, reducing the amount other power plants must generate.
