Having a net-zero energy home was very important to us. From August 2014 to August 2015, we actually sent 1 megawatt more to the grid than what we used from the grid – even with two electric cars. This makes us somewhat better than net-zero. The only time we go to gas stations is when we have to rent cars when we go on trips.
The inside of our home was featured on the Spring 2015 Modern Homes Tour. It is a pleasure to feature our solar arrays on the 2019 DFW Solar Tour.
